Sanjog Modgil
A distinguished leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for his ability to blend innovation, strategic insight, and operational expertise.
With over three decades of experience spanning Asset Management, Hotel Operations, & Project Management for luxury and boutique hotels in Thailand, Australia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, he has cemented his reputation as a key influencer in the APAC hospitality sector.
He is an accomplished speaker, regularly featured at global hospitality conferences. His insightful discussions on emerging trends, investment strategies, and operational challenges have positioned him as a thought leader in the industry.

Julie Ockerby
Julie is an internationally recognised, award-winning interior designer, hotel designer, Australian business leader and serial entrepreneur with more than 20 years’ experience across the global boutique hospitality sector.
She began her hospitality career as Director of Marketing Australasia for Design Hotels, where she established the Sydney office in 1999 and played a key role in interpreting and delivering the consumer experience across a portfolio of some of the world’s most innovative boutique and design-led hotels. This foundation led Julie into hotel design and strategy, where she became highly sought after for her ability to align brand, design, guest experience and market positioning for boutique and independent hotels.
Julie is a respected industry leader, speaker and change agent known for setting new benchmarks across hospitality, hotels, seniors living and lifestyle sectors.
The Boutique Assembly is Julie’s homage to her passion for intentionally designed boutique hotels that deliver meaningful, memorable and experience-driven stays.
